Martin Wehner becomes new head of Hellmann Automotive Logistics

Top management change at Hellmann Automotive Logistics: The head and founder of Hellmann Automotive Logistics, Bernd Oevermann, will retire on October 31, 2017 after more than 30 years with the company. As Global Vice President, Martin Wehner will take over leadership of the Automobile Industry Solution.

Wehner (41) has been with Hellmann Worldwide Logistics for 15 years. He began his career as a Team Leader in Air and Sea Freight at the Hamburg branch. In 2005, Wehner changed to the Automotive Unit in the company headquarters in Osnabrueck, where as Global Sales Manager, he developed important automobile manufacturer and supplier accounts, especially in Asia. Furthermore, Wehner has made a significant contribution to establishing Hellmann Automotive successfully on the market, also in the area of contract logistics.

As of October 31, 2017 Martin Wehner will succeed Bernd Oevermann, the long-term leader of the industry solution as head of Hellmann Automotive Logistics. With the founding of Hellmann Automotive Logistics, the outgoing manager reacted to the growing demand for special industry solutions from a particular automotive supplier in 1998. The business continued to grow on an international scale with increasing demands. In the year 2000, a joint venture was initiated with the Rudolph Group in the United Kingdom and in 2006, in Dubai. Hellmann is a global player in the automobile sector today and counts among the leading providers worldwide.

As a full-service provider, Hellmann takes on not only shipments on all modes of transport for its customers but also storage, procurement, customs clearance and other value added services. Industry-wide, there is hardly a well-known manufacturer or supplier today, which is not supported by Hellmann Automotive Logistics.
