Efficient Specialist Retail Logistics for ElectronicPartner – From B2B to B2C
Since 2016, Hellmann Worldwide Logistics has been supporting the electronics retail group ElectronicPartner with a flexible, scalable, and industry-specific logistics solution. At the multi-user site, Hellmann ensures smooth operations – in both B2B and B2C business, including returns management.

Starting Situation
As part of its first-ever logistics outsourcing, ElectronicPartner was looking for a service provider that could offer not only industry expertise in consumer electronics but also a more strategically favorable location and greater logistical performance.
The goal was to sustainably improve delivery capability and speed – including later cut-off times for customer orders and, consequently, later shipping deadlines. At the same time, the solution needed to ensure flexibility during seasonal peaks, scalability, and a partnership-based collaboration on equal footing. The previous warehouse, located in the greater Berlin area, was no longer able to meet these requirements in the long term.
Solution
In 2016, Hellmann initially took over the cross-product B2B handling for ElectronicPartner, followed shortly afterward by the second step: B2C logistics for the subsidiary MEDIMAX.
At the approximately 8,000 m² multi-user site, Hellmann has since provided an efficient and scalable logistics structure – with services covering both contract logistics and groupage freight transport.
Key components of the solution:
- Same-day picking, shipping preparation, and transport, significantly reducing order lead times
- Custom-sized shipping cartons to minimize packaging material and improve shipping efficiency
- ABC classification in the returns process for structured handling and reusability of returns
- Long-term partnership on equal footing, characterized by short communication paths and operational proximity
With this flexible and market-oriented logistics solution, ElectronicPartner has not only improved its delivery performance but also made key processes in shipping and returns management more efficient – both for its own members and partners in specialist retail and in end-customer business.
