Starting Situation

Projects demand focus from the time the PO is entered and the materials are ready to be picked up from the supplier, to the coordination and timing of the delivery at the shipyard. It is of the utmost importance that the cargo is traceable from source to the ship along every step of the way.


Hellmann has developed the expertise to address these needs in a dedicated team that has managed dry docks for three major cruise lines in Asia, Europe and the Bahamas. From its central control tower in the U.S.A, the team manages the entire logistics process from the pre-dry-dock phase, working with and coordinating with our clients and suppliers to maximize transportation efficiency while ensuring punctual deliveries. During the dry dock phase, the team provides both onsite support at the shipyard as well as global coordination from the control tower in. 

Once the repairs or renovations have been carried out, the team ensures that the project has been totally completed and the customer receives the relevant reports for verification. At the same time, old parts are disposed of and all processes are checked for possible continuous improvement opportunities.
