One year after its launch, Hellmann Baltics has firmly established itself as a key part of the European network. The teams in Latvia, Lithuania, and Estonia have built a strong operational foundation while shaping a cluster with clear strategic relevance. The first anniversary on April 1st reflects a year of dedicated development, close collaboration, and consistent progress in a dynamic market environment.

What defines this first year is the combination of operational excellence and genuine team spirit. Across all three countries, colleagues have worked with a high level of professionalism and commitment to establish efficient structures while delivering reliable, customer-focused solutions.

The result is a solid platform for future growth, driven by people who take ownership and actively contribute to strengthening the network. Sebastian Krüger, who recently joined as Cluster Managing Director Baltics, looks ahead with confidence to a promising future and the next phase of growth in the region:

Three markets, one strong region

Latvia: Strategic location with strong Road capabilities

Located at the heart of the Baltic region, Latvia connects Northern Europe with the wider continent. Its access to the Baltic Sea and established ports make it a key logistics hub. The Latvian team stands out for its reliability and hands-on approach, offering a broad range of services including Road transport across Europe and Scandinavia, temperature-controlled logistics, as well as Air- and Seafreight solutions. With more than 200 company-controlled trucks, the team ensures flexibility and consistent service quality.
 

Lithuania: The “heart of Europe” with strong market dynamics

With the geographical centre of Europe located just north of Vilnius, Lithuania plays a central role in European logistics flows. Combined with a strong entrepreneurial mindset, the country has developed into one of the region’s most dynamic markets. The local team of around 70 colleagues provides comprehensive Roadfreight logistics services, including groupage, LTL and FTL transport, as well as Seafreight & Airfreight solutions. Their strong market knowledge and close integration into the Hellmann network enable flexible and customer-oriented solutions.

In addition, the Hellmann Marine Solutions (HMS) team in Lithuania specializes in cruise and marine logistics and acts as a control tower for global ship spares operations. The team provides end-to-end solutions and supports key clients with consolidation activities and cruise ship drydock and newbuild projects.

Estonia: Digital mindset and strong Nordic connections

Estonia plays a key role in connecting the Baltics with Scandinavia and Northern Europe. Known for its efficiency and digital-first approach, the country offers a highly dynamic environment for logistics operations. The Estonian team focuses on Road transport to and from Scandinavia and Finland, complemented by close collaboration within the European network and support for Airfreight and Seafreight activities. Their agility and reliability contribute significantly to consistent service quality across the region.
