Hellmann France Supports EDF Renewables with a Fully Green Logistics Solution
The project officially began this June, with completion expected in late August or early September. Over 800 pallets of sensitive solar panels will be received, stored, inspected, and delivered to the construction site. All deliveries are carried out using trucks running on B100, a renewable biofuel made from rapeseed oil, significantly reducing the carbon footprint of the operation.
Hellmann France’s role goes far beyond standard transport and storage. The logistics solution is tailor-made to meet strict quality and security standards set by the customer. This includes comprehensive quality checks upon arrival, isolated storage of damaged pallets, and the provision of a dark room for testing solar panels in close cooperation with an EDF engineer.
Boris Jaglin, Direct Load Manager at Hellmann France, explains what makes this project stand out:
“The goods are extremely sensitive, and our client has very specific requirements regarding how they are handled. This is a tailored service that we constantly adapt to meet new demands. The delivery service using green trucks highlights our know-how and our commitment to supporting EDF Renewables in this green project. Our client places great trust in us, and we are proud to be worthy of it.”
EDF Renewables is an international electric utility that develops, builds, and operates renewable energy production facilities, including onshore wind, offshore wind, and photovoltaic projects. The partnership with Hellmann and Les Transports Caillot illustrates a shared commitment to advancing the energy transition through sustainable logistics.
