Navigating the Future of Seafreight: Highlights from TPM25

Focus

Against the backdrop of a rapidly evolving geopolitical landscape, 5,000 logistics professionals from North America, Asia, and beyond gathered in Long Beach, California for the industry’s premier event: the Transpacific Maritime Conference. Organized by the Journal of Commerce within S&P Global, this year’s edition marked the conference’s 25th anniversary. From March 2-5, 2025, industry leaders convened under the theme "Finding Reliability in an Unreliable World."

The conference opened with a keynote address by John Bolton, former US National Security Advisor and Ambassador to the United Nations, who explored global security challenges and their impact on the container shipping industry. His address underscored the need for strategic planning to navigate shifting trade dynamics.

Recognizing the significance of TPM25, Hellmann brought a strong delegation with key representatives from Asia, IMEA, and North America to engage with industry stakeholders, customers, and business prospects.

Rinaldo Alcala, Chief Commercial Officer, AMCS, reflected on the experience:

"TPM25 was a remarkable and well-organized event that showcased not only the growth of our industry but also the strong relationships we've built over the years with valued customers and key partners from all over the world. It was exciting to see the enthusiasm and collaboration that continues to drive our success and that will strengthen our position in the market in upcoming times.”

Neumann-Lezius shared his thoughts:

"Every year I am again impressed by the sheer size, seniority and expertise at TPM. This year has been even more impressive as it marked the 25th anniversary of the event and I had the honor to represent Hellmann live on stage. I met many business partners and customers to close deals and really enjoyed the valuable time with our colleagues. Look forward to 2026!”
