Relationship matters: How Fastlinks & Hellmann drive long-term success in automotive logistics
As a key logistics partner in Mexico, FastLinks has played an essential role in container hauling and expanding service offerings to meet the evolving demands of the regional automotive industry. Through dedicated transport solutions, operational efficiency, and a commitment to quality, FastLinks continues to enhance supply chain reliability and flexibility.
In this interview, Jorge Facio from FastLinks shares insights on the company’s journey, the collaboration with Hellmann, and what the future holds for automotive logistics in Mexico.

Dear Mr. Facio, how would you describe your collaboration with Hellmann over the years? What stands out in terms of reliability and transparency?
Jorge Facio: Our collaboration with Hellmann has been strong for eight years, during which we have successfully moved over 7,000 containers, nearly 2,000 in 2024 alone. Throughout this partnership, we have relied on each other to support various projects and industries, tackle challenges, and consistently deliver valuable solutions for our customers. Transparency has been the cornerstone of our relationship, ensuring trust and long-term commitment. Hellmann's open communication and clear processes allow us to continuously improve and optimize our operations, ensuring we meet the highest service standards.
Long-term partnerships thrive on mutual appreciation. Can you share a moment where you especially valued the partnership with Hellmann?
Jorge Facio: My journey with Hellmann goes back many years, even before founding FastLinks. I have a deep appreciation for my time at Hellmann, where I gained invaluable experience and built lasting relationships. One defining moment came in late 2016, when I started FastLinks. At that time, we didn’t own any trucks, which meant we couldn’t operate as a direct service provider. However, Hellmann made me a promise — the moment we acquired our own fleet, they would give us the opportunity to work together. True to their word, in May 2017, the very same month we received our first two trucks, Hellmann honored that commitment, and our collaboration officially began. That level of trust and support is what makes this partnership truly special.
How have we tackled logistics challenges together in creative and effective ways?
Jorge Facio: Logistics in Mexico comes with significant challenges, not just in terms of costs, driver shortages, and accidents, but also in ensuring secure and efficient transportation. Together, we have worked proactively to implement solutions that enhance safety and efficiency, including specialized GPS technology for real-time tracking, exception-based monitoring to quickly detect and address issues, route analysis and optimization to enhance efficiency and reduce risk, emergency response procedures to handle unexpected situations, and security training for drivers and staff to mitigate risks. These solutions have strengthened our operations and allowed us to provide higher-quality, more secure logistics services for our customers.
How does FastLinks see the future of automotive logistics, and how can Hellmann contribute to that vision?
Jorge Facio: Mexico has become a key player in the global automotive industry, and its growth in both production and market demand continues. I foresee significant changes ahead, as automated plants will soon emerge, reducing labor costs as a major concern and potentially leading to the geographic relocation of manufacturing facilities. Meanwhile, the market is evolving rapidly, and soon we may be purchasing cars directly from our smartphones. This transformation requires us to innovate, stay creative, be flexible, and adapt quickly.
What defines a strong partnership, and what does "Relationship matters" mean to you?
Jorge Facio: A strong partnership should be about working together, supporting each other, planning and adapting for the future. Relationship matters because we are people. We care for each other, build bonds, and create a history worth telling.
We would like to thank Jorge Facio and the FastLinks team for their ongoing dedication and for trusting Hellmann as a strategic logistics partner. Our collaboration has been instrumental in driving efficiency, reliability, and innovation, ensuring that together we deliver smarter, stronger supply chain solutions.
