Hellmann in Nowy Tomyśl – 25 years of successful development
This year, Hellmann Worldwide Logistics Poland celebrates the 25th anniversary of its branch in Nowy Tomyśl. The location, which opened in 1997, has developed into an important pillar for the polish market over the past decades. Today it is a central hub within the Polish Hellmann network for national and international land transport, from general cargo to full loads. In addition, Hellmann operates its own customs agency and an intermediate warehouse at the branch.
The geographical position with its excellent connections within Poland and to Germany, make Nowy Tomysl the ideal location. Over the past decades the branch has been constantly developed to serve customers´ needs and to accommodate the broadened product portfolio of the company.
In 2021, the warehouse space was expanded and adapted to the emerging needs of a cross dock. Currently, the warehouse has 15 loading docks – including one on the zero level - and 60 vehicles that are constantly on the road to serve full loads, general cargo, and line connections. By changing the function of the warehouse, Hellmann Poland has laid the basis for the successful implementation of the newly launched program “Groupage Poland-Germany” under which a new daily round trips mainly between Poland and Germany have been established. With its perfect inter-branch cooperation and the efficient cross dock, the branch in Nowy Tomyśl is an important strategic location not only for the project “Groupage Poland-Germany” but also for the prospective development for Hellmann Poland.

One of the most important projects is the development of the German direction, which is directly related to the significant increase in economic cooperation between Poland and Germany. He adds: “Undoubtedly, a huge role in the implementation is also played by the extensive national and international distribution network, which includes our branches in Nowy Tomyśl and Poznań, realizing increased volumes of orders on the connection between Poland and Germany."
