With the go-live of the new Central Warehouse in Nuremberg on June 1, 2025, this collaboration entered a new phase. Serving as a global distribution hub for building technologies, the facility combines operational excellence, advanced logistics processes, and digital innovation to support Siemens' worldwide supply chain.

Starting Situation
Siemens Smart Infrastructure was looking for an experienced logistics partner with global expertise, strong digital capabilities, and proven operational reliability. The objective was to ensure a seamless logistics operation while increasing process efficiency, supply chain visibility, and scalability for future growth.
As part of a transition from a previous logistics provider, the Nuremberg site required not only a smooth operational handover but also a comprehensive modernization of both systems and processes to meet evolving business requirements.
Solution
On June 1, 2025, Hellmann assumed full responsibility for operating the approximately 15,000 sqm warehouse facility, of which around 12,000 sqm are dedicated to Siemens Smart Infrastructure. The five-year partnership covers end-to-end warehouse operations as well as the global distribution of building technology products and solutions.
The facility processes an average of 4,500 outbound order lines per day. Around 125 employees ensure efficient day-to-day operations, supported by state-of-the-art conveyor technology and optimized set-building processes.
In addition, the site includes integrated customs capabilities and air freight handling under a Third-Party Logistics (3PL) framework, enabling efficient international distribution and seamless cross-border logistics.
A key milestone of the transition was the successful implementation of Hellmann’s warehouse management system, LFS V8. The system provides end-to-end inventory visibility, enhanced process control, and the flexibility required to support dynamic supply chain operations.
By digitally integrating all logistics processes, Hellmann has established the foundation for highly efficient and reliable operations. Combined with automated material handling systems and continuous process optimization, the facility consistently delivers high levels of quality, accuracy, and performance.
With the new Central Warehouse in Nuremberg, Hellmann has created a future-ready logistics platform for Siemens Smart Infrastructure. The facility serves as the backbone of a sustainable, scalable, and globally connected supply chain, ensuring reliable and efficient service for customers around the world.
