A new era of growth and expansion in Switzerland: Hellmann takes over Swiss Air and Sea Freight Operations
Long-standing Hellmann partner, ATS-Hellmann, has officially transferred their air and sea freight activities in Switzerland to Hellmann. As of January 2023, the new Swiss national company, Hellmann Worldwide Logistics, Switzerland, is now 100% Hellmann and offers a wider range of services to customers.
Since 1991, ATS-Hellmann has been the operating unit for air and sea freight transport in Switzerland and was integrated as an independent partner in the global Hellmann network.
The transfer of the existing business activities, including the employee base, is headed by Managing Director Switzerland, Kathrin Kuske, who is excited about this new chapter:

The transfer of air and sea freight activities to the newly established Swiss subsidiary provides ample opportunities for us to enhance our customer service. Kathrin Kuske has been a Hellmann partner with ATS for 15 years and knows many colleagues around the world personally. All the more reason for her to finally become an official part of the Hellmann F.A.M.I.L.Y. She and her team remain based in Kloten near Zurich Airport, with expertise in worldwide air and sea transport. Among other things, they specialize in the needs of customers in the aerospace and perishable sectors. In the future, special attention will also be paid to overland transportation.
Meanwhile, the Swiss organization continues to grow: Manfred Schellhammer, an experienced industry expert, has been appointed Chairman of the Board of Directors for the Swiss national company. In addition, Nils Rodewald has started a new assignment as CFO Switzerland and will play a key role in supporting the growth of Hellmann's youngest subsidiary.
Jens Tarnowski, Regional CEO West Europe at Hellmann, shares his thoughts on the expansion of Hellmann in Switzerland:
