Madhav Kurup, Regional CEO IMEA, and Malcolm Sparks, Managing Director South Africa will grow the IMEA region by joining forcess

The new IMEA region is led by Madhav Kurup as Regional CEO, based in Dubai. Africa is a key market for Hellmann and the company sees great potential in joining forces with the MESA team to strengthen their activities in the entire region and expand their business across continents. The goal is to gain additional market share and build on the successful development of recent years.

Hellmann is present in 14 countries in the newly-formed IMEA region

Madhav Kurup, Regional CEO IMEA, commented: "Our success is based on trust and good cooperation within the Hellmann F.A.M.I.L.Y, and also on a strong leadership which sets goals and pursues them consistently. With our IMEA team, we are in an excellent position to drive sustainable growth together.”

The merge of the two regions into IMEA is timely as South Africa, as the biggest Hellmann country on the African continent, is strategically a very important market for Hellmann, and more importantly for the new IMEA region. Malcolm Sparks, a long-standing member of the Hellmann organization, has recently taken over the position of Managing Director South Africa. With over 30 years’ experience in logistics, and a firm understanding of the African logistics market, Malcolm will be sure to steer the country towards further growth.

"Our main task for 2023 and the coming years will be to build on our strong market position in IMEA and to further expand our product portfolio and service level – across countries and continents. There are many opportunities ahead that we will develop upon – with joint forces." – Malcolm Sparks, Managing Director South Africa
